Greann Clock is a fun, easy, free way to learn a little Irish! Are you just beginning your Irish language (Gaeilge) studies? Here is an easy way to learn the numbers from 1 to 12 and how to tell time. Open Greann Clock, and a live clock shows you the current hour and translation on the bottom. For example, at one o'clock (and any time before 2 o'clock), a "1" will appear, and "T s a hAon a Chlog" ("It is one o'clock") will appear to the right. Tap the "Abair !" ("Say it!") button, and you will hear the Irish text spoken. It will show a short video, with the spelling in old style and modern style fonts. Press the AirPlay button to hear and see it on Apple TV and other AirPlay devices! Tap the "?" icon on the left of the title bar, and it will show you the vocabulary used for time. Tap the Done button, and you're returned to the main view. We think you'll enjoy seeing the current time in Irish every time you open Greann Clock! "Greann" means "fun"!
